Hi, I've been watching the site and forums for a few months and wanted to report that the info in Jeff's site and in the Forums that I've used has been helpful.
This weekend was a shakedown campout to prepare for a 2 night trip with my son's Boy Scout troop. Although we are low on snow in Northern MN, it did get down to about 15 F (-10 C). I used my Hennesy but used a 1-1/2 inch foam pad and my old school Army issue -40 sleeping bag. I stayed warm all night, but will make some kind of extra quilt/blanket for my feet (I had severe frostbite in both feet 7 years ago around J-bad (Afghanistan)).
I'm looking forward to our outing and will report in with some pictures, etc.
