Looks like the eyelets for the mosquito net support poles at each corner have loops on the ends. I was planning to use those if it needs guying.

scubacat, I'm actually somewhat anxious to hear your thoughts about it once you get it. I know all too well that tastes do vary. Hope you find my post completely without merit in the end.

    I'm rooting for ya.

    Sawyer water filtration system

That site doesn't appear to have the Lawson Hammock any longer.

BUT they have a Sawyer 2-bag gravity filter system for 39.95
    http://www.scoutstuff.org/sawyerr-tr...er-filter.html

    It's 209.95 at REI:

Naw, I appreciate the insights from an owner. Wouldn't be the first time I bought something only to find a pig in a poke. ;>) But if it doesn't work out in stock form, it's cheap enough to tinker with it a bit. Of course, i haven't received a shipping e-mail yet, so it may be moot since it looks like it's gone from their site.

Still have mine....it is at least 12 years old I reckon. Heavy but had fun in it.
    It is a hanger-queen now.
Used it on the ground a lot as well.
