Please know that you don't have to donate at all. My personal belief is that there is valuable information here that has saved me hundreds of dollars. Yes, I may have spent hundreds because of this forum but I'm so much happier out in the piney woods for it.

$10 for a year is very much worth it. In fact, my VERY frugal girlfriend said after I had mentioned I had to get my donation in, "if there's a $10,$15, and $20 option, why would anyone not do the $20?"

If my non hiking, hanging, camping girlfriend who thinks $12 is to much to spend on a backpacker magazine membership agrees to its importance, everyone here should.

Plus, maybe we can get Dutch to grow that special goatee out again

Beat you to it. I haven't even slept outdoors yet, hanging, but I've learned so much I couldn't resist contributing.

After searching hammock camping and stumbling upon a certain noob video series (Wooo buddy!) on youtube...I purchased my first hammock. If I recall correctly, it was that day I made my donation.

This site gives so much wisdom, entertainment, instruction, support and overall enjoyment...all for about the cost of a magazine subscription but with far more value!!

My subscription to one of the 'outdoor' magazines (that I hardly read) is due - I decided the money is way better spent on the Hammock Forums which I pore over daily. I get a lot of information and enjoyment out of this forum and now I can see the rest of the stuff I've been missing.

Awesome Syb! All true. If you had to pay for the information you get from this site, not to mention the lessons you learn the "easy way" instead of the "hard way", you'd be payin' forever! For the little $10 investment, priceless....
