    fl camping

I am coming to FL the first week of April to hammock camp. I would really like to camp on he beach. Current plan is to at least stay a night or two at ft Desoto.

Anyone have any tips or better places I should go.

Absolutly, The Everglades Nat. Park. Awsome! Or Bahi Honda State Park.
Miyaka River is nice as well.

Heads up. Florida State Parks don't usually allow hammocks.
Look up before you hook up!!

yeah what Rick said. They dont like us AT FIRST, talk to them in a calm tone and just show them exactly how the webbing works around the tree(stopping it from damaging the bark and all) they mostly just shrug it off, especially if you say its your only shelter.
Every time I hang in a tree I get a coconut to the head.....stupid coconuts

Do all the sites have trees suitable for hammocks?
If not what site # would you recommend?
    Thanks,

JK you could also check out turtlelady's bambo stand in the diy forum. There have been several variations on it and you still have plenty of time to make one. With that thing you can hang on any site you want.
