Post office echos: No Joy. Hung up in "processing" for three days at the front end. Looks like it was moving through Pennsylvania in the middle of the night. Oh well, in the middle of high wind advisory with 60mph gusts right now, so not the best "test conditions" anyway. Patience....

What's even worse? I've had mine for 2 or 3 weeks and haven't even had time to even take it out to look at it.

    Please forgive me PapaSmurf.

What????????!!!!!!! That's almost unbelievable. You must be one VERY busy man. Mine's due tomorrow and barring a disaster of biblical proportions, I'll be hanging in it tomorrow night.

Husband, dad to a 2 yr old & an 11 yr old, Scout leader and work way too much overtime. Oh, and no easy access to a hanging spot.

I'll get there hopefully. I just hope I didn't anger the blue fella because I haven't been able to comment on it yet. I had him add Dutch Quilt Hooks to it too.

No problem, but please do share your thoughts and photos when you get a chance. Yours is pretty nice looking.

I think I'd go with eleastic ladders on the four corners of the hammock and put the hooks on the underquilt....but that is so subjective.

Stormstaff: when we bought our house almost eight years ago, I had NO idea that those two trees in our tiny front yard that are exactly 14 feet apart would be worth SOOOO much.

As to the family stuff, I can relate. But I'm already planning on sacrificing a little sleep to tinker when it shows!

Sometimes we have to plant 6x6 poles in the backyard. That was my solution in the city. At my home home I went on the outside of the house and placed 6'x3foot steel plates spanning several studs and on the opposite wall went into the bathroom for same. I'd guess those with basements have it much easier-this the pursuit of hanging at home. We all know to test in the safe environ before fielding it but truth is us full timers just love sleeping in hammocks.
I too threw PapaSmurf a curve ball near the end but (are you listening PS?) it was just a remnant of a fantastical vision of the next step....whether I see it or not the end result will be Dangerbird and for that I'm thankful that I stumbled onto this thread when I did. Well since I'm throwing pies into the sky might as well do now, get on my knees and beg/plead/cajole for some elastic ladders....I can sew the hooks onto the UQ myself!
Now off my knees I feel as I bet many have, that we discovered Michealangelo in the Cistine and with much bravado ask him to add a titmouse to the painting
Hopefully still in your good graces PapaSmurf.
