Fuzzie, I used mine @ the Caddo lake hang couple weeks ago, temps in 20's and 30's and it performed great as I'm sure yours' did. I checked several times during the 4 nights and there was consistently a 10 to 12 degrees difference inside. Mine is a double 11ft model, it really is as comfortable as the WL night owl, your right the zipper system is truly ingenious, haven't really used bug net, except to show it, love it as I'm sure you do and the workmanship is exemplar. know you'll enjoy. jim

Sorry, I'm tired and a little punchy. But hey, if you can't be yourself on HF....
I have done a few nights in it, in my back yard. But I am waiting till this week coming up where I will get 4 nights out in the piney woods with it.

I will say this...its a work of art, just like everybody says. The only thing I have noticed is when you zip up the M90 cover, it tightens the hammock quite a bit and and you loose a sizable amount of you diagonal lay. And it tightens up the RL a lot as well. So you need to plan accordingly and actually have the hammock a lot looser then you normally would, that way when you zip up the M90 cover it does not over tighten the hammock and create that tight spot in your legs that can cause a lot of pain.

Its still quite comfy but just keep in mind you loose some of your diag/flat lay when the cover is zipped up...I have not tested out the mosquito net to see if it does the same thing. Because when I was sleeping in it the winds were about 20mph and it was about 15*f so I just wanted to get in and get warm. With the M90 cover zipped up the wind disappeared and I was nice and warm.
I miss my 4.8Lb base weight as a ground dweller...But I sure DON'T MISS the ground.

I can't believe I missed this thread. Your hammock looks awesome. I also have one in the works. Papa Smurf originally told me he'd be on it in about three weeks which happens to be right about now.

I am patiently waiting....as they say hope springs eternal!

    Miguel - You're next up.
TFC Rick - Sorry, you're still down a few.

Just a heads up. I started telling folks that I'm not accepting new orders for custom DangerBirds until I get some of these built and shipped. I'll continue working through the list with folks who I've already spoken with, but I don't want the list to get any longer right now.

Building custom one at a time is a slow process, but it sounds like folks are appreciating the quality in the final product.

    Thanks

Okay PapaSmurf, that gives me time to save the money, and time to work on the husband to let me get one. LOL... Also time to sell a couple hammocks to make room for a new one.

I appreciate it. Really, no joke, it's a very important quality to me. Who hasn't bought something "off the rack" (even something expensive) thinking it'd be perfect just to find out it wasn't quite right for you. Spending time to make something as particular and specific as possible is awesome. It's a chance most consumers don't get; thanks for the opportunity Randy. Looking forward to mine, with no pressure whatsoever. Doesn't mean I'm not a detail hungry customer though, so I hope my emails are still welcome.

PS: My earlier request for "updates" was intended to get more feedback from the folks already enjoying theirs, but I appreciate the response PapaSmurf!

It would be cool to see a running list of who's on the list and how far up or down.
