True....you do quit smelling except for the occasional waft on a roll-over in the TQ.

Most often when someone says they can't, they are unwilling to try.

Hydropel or Body Glide = no wrinkles = no corpsy foot

-Don't bathe, if possible, as many days pre trip as you can get away with
    -Sleep clothes
-Gold Bond in the crotch and arm pits
-About every 2 days on trail do a full body wipe down

Usually one to two days before the trip I will stop taking a shower. My job is not overly sweat inducing, so when I hit the trail, I'm about a day into the funk and it's not real bad.

Heh. Wish I could get away with that. I work in a pizza kitchen, and it gets as hot as 114+ F. The wife has told me I can shower after work or sleep in the guest room...though, what with the hammock...hrm...

Completely agree with your shuttle driver.....

Me and the rest of the guys in my class when I went through Ranger (Army, not park) school were some funky dudes at the start. Surprisingly, as the weeks went on, with one or two meals a day and limited showers and laundry, we really didn't stink as bad as one would expect. I'm sure being in a winter class had a little to do with it but I think our bodies got pretty efficient with the little calories we were consuming and reduced the funk.

Yeah, this was easier when I was an Aquatics Director, now that I'm a Lifeguard and actually doing work out on the pool deck (where it is usually rather warm) this is a little harder to do.

Hobos never think they stink either.
