Hey guys, just a quick question---I've got an old speer hammock I don't use anymore, and I want to reuse the fabric for another project. Is there any way to untie the end knot once its been used?

FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

I've done it on a few I made and used for a night or two. I've got to think it would be hard on one that has been used a lot. OTOH, patience and a fid may do it. I'd probably try a phillips screwdriver for a one time use.
Yep, like nothermark said... it just takes patience and fiddling with a fid... since nylon stretches, the knot gets really really tight...
