    Talking Heya from Scotland!

    Hello M'dears!

I've been sneaking around HF for a while now, and to celebrate the fact I'm about to invest in my first hammock (Probably a DD Travel Hammock, given that I'm paranoid enough to love the emergency bivi idea/have heard wonderful things about them, and Nick.) I thought I'd get an actual account and say Hi.

Plans so far, probably the West Highland Way in the late spring/early summer, and spending as much time hiding in the wilderness as I can manage! Having spent 2 years bouncing around ME on and off the AT, feels like time I went exploring closer to home.

    Anyways, this is me- Hiya!

hiya from Dumfries and Galloway. I'm out for the first camp of the year on fri, the first of many if you're ever in the area and fancy some company, gis a shout. I'm still trying to persuade my regular camping pal to ditch the tent and take to the trees, so maybe if we ganged up on him

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Scotchbonnet- I may take you up on that in the future, I've been mostly out of country when I'm hiking, so I'd be thrilled to soak up any hints/suggested hikes/hangs you've got.

Look forward to it Kirkcudbright is a favourite spot, some good fishing too, also take a look at the Southern Upland Way, it a lot closer and the bit of it that runs past Loch Trool is really close to me and a fantastic walking/camping spot.

I was actually looking at the upland way the other day- awfully tempted to go AWOL from the rest of the world and go hiking for a while! How did/do you find it?
