I am an Erwin native now residing in PA and envy all the great spots you have for outdoor fun. You can always open a thread and put out an open call for hangers in your area. I have seen several Roan Mountain trips listed here. *I just went over to the "Trip Planning" section of the forum and yes there is a Roan Mountain & Linville Gorge hangs listed.

Thanks for all the great advice. I put out a feeler for a possible AT trip from Iron Mtn Gap Rd to the Nolichucky so we'll see
