What is the difference when making a full underquilt and a 3/4 under quilt?
Could you just extend the 3/4 to the length of a full?

Construction wise they are pretty well the same other than length. If your making it for your self then make it however long you would like for your personal tastes. My own quilts are slightly longer than the partials we make in the shop. Just my taste for how I sleep.

One thing you may want to consider is tapering the ends on a full length underquilt. The ends of the hammock taper down, why not the underquilt. My current full length underquilt is shaped like an old time coffin. I left it full width from shoulders to hips and then tapered the ends. Just don't do too much so that you feet hang over the edge of the quilt on a diagonal lay. Works great for me and saves weight and pack room.

Taper and amount of down would be the considerations methinks, also depending on the weight of down, you may want to add loops near your butt to add some shock cord suspension with mitten hooks to your ridgeline on a full length
