Snakeskins for tarp only

Snakeskins are usually tapered (small at the ends and larger in the middle).

My "tarp tubes" are the same diameter from end to end. Therefore, there is a chance that the ridgeline string could fall out of the ends unless you have a drawstring to cinch it closed.

Does that make sense? If not I can take a picture and show it to you, although I do not have any tapered "snakeskins".

If you Google "Hennessey Hammocks Snakeskins" you should be able to see some pictures of snakeskins (they invented them).

My plan is to set up my tarp as a roof, not like a "diamond" like most of the Hennesy rainflys, do you understand?
If I do this, would it be a problem with tapered skins?

If you are referring to a rectangular or square tarp, I use my snakeskins on my 10' x 10' Granite Gear and it works fine with the tapered ends. It really doesn't matter how you set it up, The bulk of the material will be in the middle, when you sleeve it. I personally like larger skins so they are not as ridgid when sleeved, and they stuff into you backpack better.

Thats right My Tarp is the same size as yours.
So the XL snakeskins is what you recommend?
