Very sweet job! If you wash the tyvek in cold water it will soften, DO NOT USE HOT/WARM WATER, or PUT IN DRYER!!!!! Don't ask how I know this!!!!

wash them with your clothes a few times to soften them

Free snd they do the job. Throw in the fact they weigh next to nothing and you have a great piece of gear you should be proud to say you made. Thanks for sharing. Now all I need is some tyvek.

LOL...I currently have a tyvek Grizzbeak trial pattern on my tarp in the basement...maybe I should just apply tie outs and be done with it (instead of the intended Sil).

I'm definitley leaving the branding/ logos on the outside...it gives 'em character.

Now I just have to think of some more "hillbilly" projects. Tyvek, ripstop, and down slippers with CCF soles perhaps? Maybe a Tyvek UQP, gaiters? The stuff is light breathable and water resistant.

I've been tossing around ideas for a down hammock pillow with an integrated hood. Basically, it's just a hood with a pillow sewn onto the back, or at the very least, velcro attachment.

Aw, who am I kidding...how about a duct tape hammock...sticky side down. Then you can just stick a poncho liner directly to the bottom.

I think Tyvek gets a raw deal. Great thinking out of the box. A tarp is a home and Tyvek is a house wrap. Great job...

So tonight, I whipped up some snakeskins for the tarp. They fit perfectly with the doors still attached.

Now I just have to decide how to attach the doors to the tarp at the ridgeline and the corners. Right now, I'm using the mini S-biners from one of those nite-ize key rack things, and they seem to work pretty well. I want to make it easily detachible for summer use.

I am also throwing a permanent marker in my kit. I will now have every hanger I meet sign their autograph on my doors...it'll be a nice little keepsake.
