Just can't seem to whip it good.. (roll whip help)

I hope this isn't a repost because I've looked for some specifics on roll whipping already. My roll whip just doesn't seem to be turning out well. I'm attempting a DIY Hennessy Hammock Clone as illustrated in headchange4u's post and my roll whip doesn't look nearly as clean when I'm done and just doesn't feel right when I'm in it.

From looking at the attached pictures:
    1. Am I doing the roll whip correctly? (Note: in all but the "Flat" picture, the left side is already done. Hover the mouse over the pics to see their names.)
    2. Am I folding the last step of the roll whip correctly?

When you get to the end and have both ends rolled to the middle ("Roll4&5") do you then fold the edges up to meet above the middle or down to meet below the middle tube seam? Folding the edges up is shown in "EdgesUp" and folding the edges down is shown in "EdgesDown".

Thanks for the great tutorial and support so far!

I just keep folding up. It took awhile to get the feel right for me too. There are a lot of little things to change. If I remember right I have about a 2.5" fold each time. I still pull the edges just a little.

Not to confuse you, but there is other adjustments in the hammock and ridgeline length.

When I did my HH clone, I used the HH fold. The last fold was an edgesdown. Then used a 60w soldering iron to burn the holes.

It looks like you are doing everything correctly. When you fold the rolls together in the last step, you fold toward the bottom of the hammock.

I gotta get off my butt and post the roll whip video. I've got it filmed, but as I mentioned I just don't like the way my voice sounds on video. I guess I'm just going to have to get over it.

    EDIT:
I can't really tell from the pics but when you are doing your rolls, are you doing them with the hammock facing up or down? When rolling the sides you should have the hammock laid out so the you are looking at the bottom.

Yup. Noone likes the sound of their own voice on video. Maybe if you add a funny accent it will help...

German accent? French? Swedish? Hmmm... I think you're onto something there.

I'm from Kentucky. I already have a funny accent. That's the problem

Ohhhhhhh.... that explains a few things. I've been rolling with the hammock right side up. That probably makes a difference. Time to unwrap the winding again...

So you're saying to roll it with hammock upside down, then make the last fold by bringing the edges up and together, like closing an open book?

You could have Microsoft Sam narrate it with text-to-speech.

I found I was rolling my hammock from the wrong end. Strange as that may sound. But I did the trapezoidal shap and I did the asym fold wrong on one end. Turns out I was not sending the CL diagonally. I fixed that and it made all the difference.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

    .
    Yep. You got it.

    EDIT:

In the video I made I used my dual layer Mystery Hammock, which has a bright yellow inside and a dark charcoal outside. It makes it reall easy to tell top from bottom/inside outside in the video.
