I think I've got a couple of spare bike lights somewhere around the house if you want 'em .

With all the food we're taking out there, this isn't a hike, it's Sherpa practice!
    Olddog's got the right idea!

I just wanted to bump this comment so that evening readers are more likely to catch it. Also, I had a full (over full) day at work and wasn't able to pre-stage the wood and DO so I'll make another trip in the morning to take the DO and will put the wood along the trail near the beginning and if everyone picks up one piece (some are pretty big) we should have it all out there pretty quickly. There aren't that many pieces... I think less than 10.

    • There is a large cleared area before you go over the creek bridge that you can park in but be sure you have plenty of clearance and probably 4WD so that you can get back out
    • There is a smaller parking area just past the bridge on the left (next to the information kiosk and pay station) that should hold 4-5 cars
    • If all of that is full you can head down School Bus rd. (the road that forks to the left) and there is another small parking area on the left that you can fit 3-4 vehicles in
    • If all of those are full then you can backtrack to Rucks Dairy rd and continue down Rucks Dairy rd (the fork to the right) and go about 100 yards and you will see another information kiosk by a turn in to the left. That is the main campground and you can park on the opposite side of the road from the campground. You will see a pile of shell rock road material and you can just park anywhere along the road (but get completely off the road) along that grassy field.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't park in just any old place along the road. We have lots of endangered plants and animals on this forest and many of them live on the road shoulders in this area. I'm hoping we don't have too many parking problems but the numbers that look like they are planning on coming are pretty large so just find a place to park (the grassy field with the pile of shell rock has room to park everyone that came to FH2 so we should be fine) and come on down!

Starting to pack up now. I'll throw everything in the car tonight except frozen food and leave from work tomorrow after putting in half a day. The frozen food I'm bringing is already in the freezer at work! Excited? Not me!

I have three of those red bags of wood from publix, I will leave one at the trail head if some one could help carry that in. If not I could make two trips.

Old dog I'm going to take you up on sharing your grill, you talked my into steak and potatoes.

Same here on wanting to rent some Grill time. I'm bringing in a gallon size bag of charcoal. Steak-Cow & Prebaked Potato too.
I'll try to pickup one of the "staged" bags of wood as I walk in Friday @ sunset.
Leaving from work in Ft Myers @3:00. Everyone drive safe.
