Maybe we can attract another cold front this year
It would be nice. Was doing some yard work this morning and it's getting HOT out side.

Depending on my work situation, I may try to ride down on Friday, hike Saturday and Sunday, and then bike back up on Monday. It'd be my first century+ days, so I'm a little excited.

    We'll see...

If you just head north on the Blue Blaze from the fire tower parking lot, you will find us. Our "traditional spot" is right on the trail, maybe a 1/4 mile along. No big deal. The Blue Blaze trail head is very well maked on the opposite side of the road from the fire tower parking lot--right opposite the parking lot turn in.

    Remote parking.

Does anyone more familiar with the area know where I could park about 10 or 15 miles from the Friday assembly area in order to hike in a good distance on Friday afternoon.

I looked at the area map, but nothing jumped out at me. <G>

I'm training for an April AT section hike and need loaded miles.

    TIA

If I am not mistaken. I think the trailhead at Dade city, Green Swamp west, The Fl Trail going north connects to Richloam. Its about that distance. Ed Hess just did a video hike report on that trail. Lil' Ricky can probably expand on this. I think it was about 15 miles from there to Richloam.
