Yeah, pretty addictive, and at times a bit expensive, but what other "hobby" can provide so many opportunities to experiment with so many "essentials", and when all is said and done, provide so much pure pleasure and relaxation?

Me: My name is two, as in two isles. And I am a gear-a-holic.

Gear addiction is only one problem you'll face. Just wait for the reaction the first time you tell someone that your going camping in the winter... and then you add that it is in the woods with a bunch of guys you met on the Internet.

I will say that this site has actually calmed her down a little on the money spent. I just show her the For Sale section and how quickly things sell and for nearly price paid. It's basically a no loss hobby. If for some reason I decide to quit, I'll be out very little money.
Now, I have to finish opening my box of Amsteel and begin some splicing. Then redo my tarp tie outs with my new lash-it. Then.......
Next thing you know you will become a "dealer"

Hey you, come around the corner... Wanna hit of these whoopies? How about a pair of biners?
Yeah. I could see it going down that way. Start out with a gateway gear, then get them hooked. Or would it be spliced?
Is there a doctor on the forum that can help me ???
In the last 2-wks I've purchased a set of Dutch Tarp Flyz, a new OES MacCat Standard in silnylon, a UQ Protector from 2QZ2, a dozen Mini Line Locks, and a Emberlit stove listed in the FS section of the forum.
I keep hearing voices that tell me, "Oh you need one of those too" !!!
In the short time I've been on the forum, I've bought or made:
3 hammocks, Whoopies for each, multiple sets of tree huggers, Triangle Thingies, 3 tarps, a DIY Poncho UQ, AHE New River UQ, multiple DIY Alki stoves, 3 different DIY "Bush Buddy's", new boots, new pack, a "Stick-Pic", a DIY hammock stand, a "grease pot" cookpot, Reflectix for everything, a DIY HammockForums flag and a HammockForums logo caribiner.
Please Oh Please, make the voices stop !!!!!!
