    I've become a junky!

This hammock stuff has become like crack to me. I've had my WB Blackbird and Mamajamba for about a month now. I bought a winter yeti off this forum. And I just pgot off the phone with Reddin Marine putting in an order for 50 ft of amsteel and 180 ft Lash-it. I've spent hours on this forum figuring out how to rig things. More hours tying and retying lines. The bad part is, I've only done some practice hangs in the backyard, and never overnight (yet). My wife thinks I'm crazy. How do I make it stop?? Do I want it to stop?? I think I've become a junky!

    Junkies

Just except it and be happy with us other junkies.
It only gets worse. Sounds like you only have one hammock right now. That will change...

The postmaster said to me this morning, Thanks for keeping them in business! And I'm not done ordering stuff yet.
Just embrace it and shout down any "addiction" speech from ground dwellers.

It's gotten so that in my "spare time" at work, I'm constantly updating the forums to see what new info is out there. I'm hoping to try and all-nighter tonight or tomorrow in the backyard to check out what I have, but that may get de-railed by prior plans.

When I start a new hobby, I tend to go big right out of the gate. This is definitely one of those times.

I think while I wait for my amsteel and lash-it, I'm going to try my hand at a diy alcohol stove. I need a fix cause my hands are starting to shake.

I went through the same thing. For me, first it was a bivy bag, light weight pad, then DIY alcohol stoves, DIY bush cooker stove, then came Titanium. Just wait until that phase kicks in! I bought as much titanium as I could, Evernew stove, Evernew stand, titanium mug, titanium pan set & now it's hammocks, Amsteel and zingit! Don't get me started on Dutch gear, I can tell that will be my next obsession!

I just tell my wife that she needs to deal with it - 'cause it keeps me out of trouble and out of bars.
