My hammock should be here tomorrow. Already planning another camping trip with a friend. Going to let him use it. Hopefully I can get a convert.

Just checked tracking on my hammock. It was scanned at my local post office about two hours ago. I can't wait to get it. I'm like a kid at Christmas.

These things are great. I've always taken mine when tent camping to use as a chair and to lie in and read a magazine or whatever. Taking up about the space of a softball, can't beat it. Who knows, I may even try it overnight when the bugs aren't out.

Just got mine in the mail. The Grand Trunk website forgot to mention that it does not come with any suspension. But for $20, you can't beat it.

Yeah they no longer come with suspension. When I got it from Amazon about a year ago the description still said it came with straps but I didn't receive them. I use paracord with loops every 12" or so and simply hook on whichever ones depending on tree distance. I wouldn't recommend this due to the stretch, but like I said I only use it for sitting or quick rests.

I whipped up some paracord suspension after I opened the hammock. It's just an extra hammock, so I'm not too worried about it.

Another post here mentioned using it as a gear shelf under their hammock as well.

Well worth the minimal investment for me.

Bumping StaplesHuskies bump about figuring out the ridgeline! I've got one coming Saturday and I'm excited. I'm 6'0" and pushing the weight limit. My other hammock is a Chrysalis and I love it but it weighs about 5 lbs! I hope to use this as a daypack hammock or "instant' hammock--I'm going to keep it in my car when I'm not dayhiking. Probably won't work for me on an overnight--too small and I just don't want to struggle with a tarp. The built-in cover and netting on my Chrysalis has me complaining on the trail but content in camp!

83% of the total length. i think the fabric is 9.5 feet. = about 94" being the generic acceptance in comfort length. an adjustable one will help you find what you're looking for.

i use my GTUL all winter with a FF wren 'peapod'. super comfortable. i also overnight in it pretty regularly when the bugs aren't out. i've had mine for 2 years, and its showing some wear... will probably replace it before next winters hanging season.
