of course we don't get weather like that here in louisiana, it is 71 degrees this morning. but one day soon i am going to where i can hang in the snow. the coldest i camped was during an ice storm years ago car camping. i was in a tent with a catalytic heater. thanks for the video.

shug, always a treat to have my Saturday coffee with a new video. Yep, looks like it was quite a crew out there in the cold. +1 on that fire set up--one of the best I've ever seen. Your cold camping videos warm the cockles of my heart, although I'm not 100% positive of what that means.

Tortoise never for a moment stopped, but went on with a slow but steady pace straight to the end of the course.

That video was a real treat. Oh that cold. Here in Denmark there is no snow within sight and I fear we will get one of those gray winters with only some occasional wet sleet.
And thanks for the shout-out, Shug. Would have loved to be there at that manly gathering.
And yeah, Fourdog seems to be getting the lead, though I doubt it. Nothing beats a simple open gathered end hammock, IMOH.
And a beauty, who can knit and loves her father. Can one ask for more.
    Best,

I'd love to see more pic's when they get back ... and know what they call that whole set up. Looks like a parachute canaopy being 'inflated' by the hot air from the long fire. Sorry I'm so fascinated, that set up is way cool!

It was really great that you made it out there, even for one night. Toasty fires, tasty food and great company... ain't nothin' better.
