    Smile First Hang a Success

I went out on the first backpacking trip with my HH Hyperlite this past weekend. Wow three nights of great sleep in the woods! The first night I had a 30 minute battle trying to get the SPE positioned correctly but I believe I have it figured out now. I just ordered a JRB Nest so hopefully my pad days are limited. I love the ring / web / biner modification as it makes setup a snap.

The first night out I camped on top of Mary's Rock in Shenandoah National Park. I was protected from the wind by some rocks and had a fantastic view looking east. The second night I camped along Piney Falls River and the third was next to Gravel Springs shelter off the AT. I wasn't able to fully test my MacCat Gen3 Std Tarp because the weather was so beautiful.

Thanks to everyone here who has helped me. I have more to learn but am off to a good start.

Way to go! It just gets easier and easier the more you hang....

You all have some really pretty country out east! I would love to come out that way sometime.

Congrats on your hang. That first picture would look really nice framed.
