    mummy peapod?

How well do mummy bags work as peapod designs. I've never used the mummy but can get a down one for like 25 on sale right now.

I'm on phone sorry for double post idk how to delete this one.

Do these feel very constricted? I know when I used my mummy bags with a tent I always felt trapped. If I add my hammock, under quilt or pad, another sleeping bag or top quilt and all the clothing inside it seems like you wouldn't be able to move! I'm not a huge guy, 6'0" 205 lb. How comfortable is this system and what are the tricks to make it as comfortable as possible?

Not me......I'm warm and comfy and that usurps any constriction. Just speaking for myself though. It is a wide-cut mummy.

I own that sleeping bag and it's a great buy. Ultralight and inexpensive!

It doesn't appear to be a down bag by the description, but still not a bad buy.

    They can work great.....

this is my WM Ponderosa used as a pod.
But notice the head end doesnt close. No problem because you have a hat/balaclava on. You push the whole Ponderosa toward the foot end like a doughnut when getting in the hammock then pull up and over you, then tighten/cinch the cord. Right above your face/neck put something in to close up the whole. IF super cold like in what Shug was in then add a 40F top quilt.
When I used the Ponderosa as pod I would not consider it unless I knew the temps were to be 15F or less.
Also note in Shug's vid and also in Ponderosa use you will not get HUGE asym lays like possible in a Traveler---Shug can you confirm this? Sleeping bags usually aren't that wiiiiiiiiiiiiiddddddddddeeeee enough. So they work great on Crazy Creek hammocks and original Speer hammocks like the 8.5 I used a Speer on Mt.Rogers with a normal peapod and its def. comfortable enough, though I do prefer the lay of the Traveler or warbonnet.

I have a diy gathered end. When it comes in ill tinker around with how to put it up. Do you attach a cord to either end to hold it in place along the hammock. I know there are some guides ill look for.
