    AT Troll's book

I thru hiked with a guy named AWOL in 2003. He wrote a book about his hike a year or 2 after. It is "Awol on the Trail" and it is a very good read. At Trail Days he had a stand and was selling an AT guide he wrote. As it turns out it was co-authored by our very own AT Troll. How these two hooked up is beyond me since they live very far apart. Anyhow if interested check out thier website. http://www.appalachianpages.com/
It is much more like Wingfoot's guide rather than the data book.

I don't see how it can be called advertising to point this out since there is a banner ad for Appalachian Pages at the top of the forum anyway.

So it is. I never saw that. I'm probably the last to find out he has a guide/book out.

It's probably worth pointing out that AP isn't the only banner that shows at the page top. It is in rotation with the other forum advertisers.

The best part is they had some southbounder editions. I can't say how tired I was of reading the guide in reverse. And I thought the trail went from Maine to Georgia.

I don't know about you but I was following the signs. They say Maine to Georgia.

Do the black flies fly backwards when you go that direction?
