I thru hiked with a guy named AWOL in 2003. He wrote a book about his hike a year or 2 after. It is "Awol on the Trail" and it is a very good read. At Trail Days he had a stand and was selling an AT guide he wrote. As it turns out it was co-authored by our very own AT Troll. How these two hooked up is beyond me since they live very far apart. The best part is they had some southbounder editions. I can't say how tired I was of reading the guide in reverse. And I thought the trail went from Maine to Georgia.
