Funky Fabric

I just "inherited" a bunch of what is probably best described as "lingerie" fabric. It is likely lightweight nylon woven with a high content of lycra spandex. Some has two-way stretch, some has four way stretch. Some are truely brilliant colors, some are almost approaching reasonable colors. I may need to share some of this with my wife, but what could I use this stuff for? Tarps? Self-compressing stuff sacks? Snakeskins? any suggestions? There might be some of this to share, particularly if you are not looking for stealth colors. But right now I am just wondering how best to use this.

Do you really need us to tell you how to use it ? Sorry, I could not resist. If you have plenty of it, just try all different types of things. What could it hurt. I like the self compressing stuff sack idea.

I ain't making lingerie for nobody. And rather than reinventing the wheel, if someone had tried a tarp or something like that I would like to know. I kind of like the self-compressing stuff sacks myself.

If it is waterproof and light weight, try a tarp, it would be cool in all those colors.

With the amount of stretch would that be a good thing or a bad thing. I don't think it is waterproof. I wonder how a flat felled seam with a stretch stich would function... hehehe

My first thoughts are clothing - sun protection shirt, lightweight fingerless gloves, light-duty gaiters. But the self-compressing stuff sacks sound great, too. Have fun!

Wow, severe is right. To have a self compressing bag it would have to be a really strong elasticity. other wise the object you are trying to compress, would just swell the bag, like we see . The purple is a nice color though.
