You could also try using an A frame on one end for one of them and the other would be using two trees. I may try this with my daughter net time we go out.

Appreciate the tips. Will let you know what we find and how we work it out at the campground.

have used this setup several times actually. Only two posts available or two trees, it was the only option everytime.

Definitely put the more nimble person on the upper hammock, but I've never had an issue getting out for the bathroom break (I'm usually the guy higher up). Once you trust how much you can "hop" into the upper hammock it's very easy. Wont be the first time so give it a dry run or two and you'll be set.

My son and I have used the method suggested by SR1355 in the link below. It works well. . .

That looks like a great idea. Thanks for the link to the thread since the pictures help a lot. Think I will go for this over the "bunk bed" setup if I can. Now I am thinking even if there are more trees this next trip that I will at least test this setup.

    Is it Friday yet?

That's brilliant.. that just might be the idea that get's the GF hanging with me. I don't think she likes the idea of sleeping "by herself". And I already have everything I need to do it! Well played sir.

That looks like a great idea but how much movement is transferred to the other hammock when one person moves?

I'm with Slo on this one, that may be the method that gets my wife interested in joining me. Does anyone happen to have setup pictures of this method? would be great to see it in action
