    Looks like the key to going "bunk bed" style is just to tie the top bunk as high as you can reach and hope the bottom person does not have any issues with a hanger right above them.

    It helps too, if you sleep on opposite ends. That way the heavier torso isnt right in your face making it claustrophobic.

    The three tree method got MY wife out with me and she loved it. We were close enough to pass thing to each other but still had own space and with the tarps overlaped we had great protection. My son and I usually do the side by side from only two trees but the last time he was out he slept on his own away from me a bit and was good(he's 8).

    We have an upcoming hang in Algonquin, and I have been trying to workout a basic "Hot-tent" setup to cover our two hammocks. The three tree method would be best from the hammock point of view but was giving my tent thoughts a bit of a glitch.

    This idea ( http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...t=30351&page=3 ), of using a spreader bar knocks those glitches right out. Will be test hanging this over the next few days.
