Hammock stand deal

I have been shopping for a while, looking for a good stand that did not cost a lot that the wife would let me have inside (so not 2x4s).

I kept seeing a 'sale' sign at bed bath & beyond saying 'Hammock Stand $99', but I could never find it on the shelf. After several visits, asking staff about it, this time they said 'The computer says we have 12 in stock'. The stockboy said 'All 12 are in a trailer out back and have been for 3 years because the boxes have holes/damage'.

I got excited and said 'Call the manager and tell him I will pay 30%'. After a little negotiation I got it for $60.

I am now able to hang and see if I can actually sleep this way. Until now I have only been able to hang in the yard. If this works I will feel better about getting a tarp & bugnet. If not the stand will go back!

Congrats on getting a great price on your stand! Hope it works out for you! I found an Ikea stand ( saw it here on the forum). We checked it out and it fit in one of our rooms. Its a little small for my standard length (round 10 ft). Had to buy the Ikea hammock for now. Going to make one of the tablecloth hammocks to replace the Ikea one for more comfort.
