Angry CLOSED: Arrrrgggg!!!!- Group buy problem

I thought that at $14 the jackets were a great if not incredible price. Well, seams that I wasn't the only one and Cafe press realized that the price was low. Seams they reversed the bulk price and discount. So instead of taking $15 off, they priced it at $14.

So, when I placed the order and expected to see the price under $300, I was shocked when it was over $500.

It's up to the group what you want to do, instead of $14, it is $25.99. I wish there was a way that I could reverse this, but we are now stuck with this price.

Here is what I will do, I will pickup the cost of shipping to my house, and only charge $4.01 for shipping, picking up the rest of the cost myself. So those that sent $21, only have to pay an addional $9.

I will understand if you guys don't want to do this, and I'll understand. I was so pissed when I saw this. If I stopped it last Friday we would of got the discounted price, but I wanted to give everyone a chance to get in on the deal.

However it works out I'm sure we all appreciate you going to such effort. It doesn't seem like $26 is much of a discount for a group buy. I kinda I hope everyone adbandons the idea so it doesn't wind up being any hassle for you. Then it will be "no harm, no foul".

I'm pretty sure if they quote you a price, they have to honor it, but getting them to honor the price is a different story. Did you get the original quote in writing?

I can go without the jacket, no problem. I agree that $26 isn't much of a discount.

Under the bulk options last week it was priced at $14, this week it is priced at $25.99. If I had placed the order when it was $14 they would have to honor it, but since I didn't place it until this week they only have to honor the $25.99.

I will start refunding peoples money after the weekend.

Yeah, I was surprised when they gave that low of a discount off the original price, but it does look like they would if not honer their mistaken discount, at least meet you some where in the middle. Might be worth a try.

No need to beat your self up Iafte, but it's a good lesson for all of us if we remember that in a case like this (where it sounds to good to be true) that we should get a "reconfirmation" from them before going ahead

I'll go along w/ which ever way the majority of the group decides to do it.
No big deal. I do appreciate your hard work on these HF products.

I agree with Dutch, we can either proceed or start over. Which would you like to do Iafte? You shouldn't have to shoulder any extra cost, so lets nix that idea right now.

I'm fine either way, whatever works best.

I'm with the majority - maybe you could turn it into a poll, send out an email or pm to all involved to make sure they vote in the poll by X date, and then we go ahead with the final decision? Either way is fine with me - it's not that much more.

I sent payment, but don't need another jacket. I am not keen on the ida of paying more. Yet, I don't want Iafte to get stuck with additional expenses. I could cough up the remainder, if Cafe Press won't honor their deal, and the group decides to go ahead with it anyway(but I voted "No" in the poll).
