Myteathor, I don't work for NOAA, but I've volunteered with the NWS for about 20 years now. I do some storm chasing as a hobby, and I've taken some college meteorology classes over the years. Now I'm training as an Air Traffic Controller and getting my pilot license, so some basic forecasting skill is sort of required there as well.
I'll keep my ear to the ground and post a more certain forecast in about 3 days when it moves into the shorter range models. That will give me a lot more detail and confidence on the timing, which is still wiggling back and forth between really early Friday morning, and late Saturday afternoon for when the low will actually move through. Here's hoping for earlier.
