    Hangin at work

Have you ever done a hang at work? (and not get fired )

I've had a few really long evenings at work so far this month, and was feeling the need for a rest. So I looked around for ways to hang my hammock which I had in my car. At work in the evening, it's only the janitor who's around, and he's pretty cool.

I was looking for a way to suspend without drilling holes. I have this huge super strong door in my office, and I found the top door hinge made a good anchor on one end.

For the other end suspension, I used a massive c clamp I had on hand which I clamped down tight onto a counter top that's built into the wall.

It was a perfect distance, though a bit low on the end from the counter top.
But how sweet it is to be able to clip it up and kick back for a little while!

Any one have some drill free suspension ideas for ways to hang at work? Or good stories?

I think I'll likely be putting a couple tapcons into the concrete wall for a higher suspension, and no one will ever notice anyway....

    I'd suggest a good catcher cushion...on the floor. ;-)

i hang in my burb on double shifts (overnighters), picked that up from Silverlion here on the forum

LOVE the door hinge anchor point, I've been looking around my office to no avail and this solves the problem! Good post

I am probably going to hang from the forks of a couple of forklifts Sunday nite when we work most of the nite tearing out a trade show cause of the Super Bowl wanting the building next morning at 0730. Then get a couple of hours of sleep and ram rod the crew at 0730 to finish the cleanup/load out of about 15 semi loads of freight and equipment. Works for me in a tight schedule and I grab 3-4 hrs of quick sleep.

I work in a small office park with a lots of woods around it. In the warmer months I routinely eat lunch and nap in my hammock!

I think Bubba showed how he hung a hammock in the stairwell of his work place. He used the door frame and the stair railing for his anchor points.

    Cheers
