Swapping to whoopies on my Blackbird

Hey guys, I currently have a Blackbird with the adjustable webbing. I really like it, but I also feel compelled to change things up so I made some whoopies with some 7/64 amsteel blue and got some Lash-It for the ridgeline. What's the best way to do the swap?

Also, when swapping the Lash-it for the ridgeline, what points do I need to measure for the 100" ridgeline? Is it from fixed loop to fixed loop, or do I have to account for the amount looped onto the new whoopies? Does that make sense?

Here is a great video for the whoopie sling swap. I don't know about the ridgeline question.

Well, after a little YouTube searching, I found several videos on swapping to whoopies.

I did not however find out where to measure the ridgeline length? Is it from tip to tip, base of one fixed loop to the other base?

In the past, on all the Blackbird ridgelines I have fiddled with, Brandon seems to measure the ridgelines from tip to tip.

Wait until you take the existing suspension and ridgeline off to measure the old and make the new ridgeline.

The conversion is very easy to do...http://www.whoopieslings.com/Videos.html

Well, after doing the swap and measuring, I found that it is measured from end of the loop to the end of the loop. The reason I was asking before I did the swap was because I was doing it in stages and wanted to have the new one cut before I started taking things apart.

So why did you switch suspension? Just to save weight?
