Oh-oh! Now you've gone and done it! There's no turning back

I have had better results with my DIY sewing projects using a sewing machine ;-)
MAD HA! but it really is a useful skill I can now start to build on.
Southmark-when is the surgery? Already done? Plantar fascitis?
I don't think any vendors will ever be threatened by my TI (thread injector) skills.
Great job MM! The only thin threatened by my thread injecting skills is my finger tips.
Look up before you hook up!!

Ha Ha...another one hooked.
TFC-I didn't think about my fingers! ah, caution to the wind.
gmcttr- at first I only had thread in the bobbin....those strange pointy objects on top...took the manual to point out more thread is needed there.
Like any skill set it is a whole new language, a new machine, lots of subtleties and nuances.
Congrats and let the fun begin! My sagely advice to you from my decades of sewing experience (ok so I've done a simple hammock, an IX UQ, and a couple of stuff sacks) is that if you think you are doing nothing wrong but you keep getting a squirrels nest underneath (or some other sort of mess up) then first re-thread the machine (top and bottom) and if that doesn't fix it put in a new needle and re-thread it top and bottom
If that doesn't fix the problem then you'll have to consult with someone that really knows what they are doing

I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.
"Bless you child, when you set out to thread a needle don't hold the thread still and fetch the needle up to it; hold the needle still and poke the thread at it; that's the way a woman most always does, but a man always does t'other way."
