Hey guys, I made it home today to MN and had a great trip. It was nice meeting everyone. It was my first time to Texas and it was fun seeing a new place with different terrain from home. A special thanks to sargevining for all the recommendations of places to stop and see along my long drive, particularly the Wichita Mountains in Oklahoma. That place is a gem and absolutely beautiful. I spent 2 days there and got lots of pictures. Again thanks to all for making a fun and memorable trip! Maybe some of you guys can make it up our way to the north woods so I can return the hospitality.
pizza,
So glad you could make it. You definitely win the award for furthest traveled!
Glad you made it back safe. It was a pleasure meeting you. I'd love to get up that way again soon.
Great hangin with ya, and extremely glad you liked the Wichitas. I'm always gratified when I help somebody new find that park. Its one of the best kept secrets in the country. Ill try and make it up yonder some time---I do miss deep pine forests and fresh water lakes---but it won't be in winter.
Didja get that pic of you and Stevie Ray?
No I didn't. I went to Austin and drove down there to the park but it was an absolute zoo. Tons of traffic and no parking to be found. I pressed on and went to Pedernales State Park and the LBJ Ranch tour which were both a lot of fun. Also went to Fredriksburg and of course the Wichitas. Fun trip.
Cool. Hope you liked the German food. I just wisht you hadn't left before we
could get some Tex Mex in ya.
They've put up a new sign on Sawmill road, BTW
