    That's not a pole mod, that's stock!

I saw one of these at the last ELG group hang and have one on order.

    Dan.

    I love that brown though!

That is awesome! What's the overall length of that sucker? (Didn't see it listed on Paul's website.)

What a great looking setup! Man, so much room...I think if a guy setup under there in a nice location, you'd be hard pressed to want to come home!

So Scott, are the poles "stabilized" at the top center by attaching them to an over-the-top continuous tarp ridgeline?

Sorry, I just can't quit looking at your pictures - and every time I do, I notice something more... This behemoth used only FOUR STAKES???? Tell me I'm seeing things!

There is a loop sewn on the ridgeline that the poles pass through. I passed them over the CRL and through the loops. I will play with it more next time I set it up. I have some things to build 1st, CRL, Guy lines with tensioners, sleeves, etc. I was using everything temporary to set it up.

Yep, just 4 stakes. One thing I noticed, the tension on the stakes is more vertical (thus the wall tent appearance) so you need to compensate when you drive the stake. They are also spring loaded with the poles in place. I didn't think to measure the RL, but will do it next time, if someone hasn't already answered the question. I did manage to put it on the scales.

We are now ready to start our way down the Great Unknown. We are three quarters of a mile in the depth of the earth. We have an unknown distance yet to run, an unknow river yet to explore. What falls there are, we know not; what rocks beset the channel, we know not; what walls rise over the river, we know not. Ah, well! We may conjecture many things. The men talk as cheerfully as ever; jests are bandied about freely this morning; but to me the cheer is somber and the jests are ghastly. Powell 1869

That's not a bad weight at all considering that it's a hut!
