I spotted the article this morning by accident. Some mighty fine quotes in there. Piney-Woods philosophy that I highly recommend.

Aye......I try to inspire. It inspires me to go out and hang more often.

    Nice article!
I like this quote from Shug, "I think all of us agree when we’re out there talking around the campfire that every one of us has friends and family that just don’t understand our enthusiasm for it". Well said.

I found and camped with a few guys here on HF that share my enthusiasm/ passion for the outdoors and backpacking (hammocks included ).

I hope this article will excite more to "get out" and share the passion as well.

My hammock adventure (since about October 2011) has given me three things:
    1. A better nights sleep where I don't wake up in pain for a change (I've slept almost every night in my hammock in the back yard for the past two weeks and will probably be full timing it inside soon)
    2. A great group of people with vast amounts of collective knowledge, enthusiasm, frienship, and generosity
    3. It has gotten me out into the woods a lot more (again)

There are many more benefits (learning DIY, learning new things, exploring gram weeniness, finding new ways to spend more money, etc. ). It has been a great ride so far and I look forward to my next hang and the next people I get to meet.

    Mighty fine article.
But Shug, when will a vendor make such a hammock as the one below, with a built on top cover quilt.
I think that is the way to go.
