Does anyone have a Singer 404?

Wondering if anyone has and uses a Singer 404 slantomatic?

I just picked one up and have a few questions!

Here's the manual on line. That should help you out. As a slant needle machine it does take special accessory feet, but that's not unusual for most machines.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

"Bless you child, when you set out to thread a needle don't hold the thread still and fetch the needle up to it; hold the needle still and poke the thread at it; that's the way a woman most always does, but a man always does t'other way."

Was having trouble, but got it figured out.

Gotta love google! Amazing, my research puts my machine circa 1957 or 58. Works great, seems like it was well maintained.
Now just need to get pins, spare needles and good thread and I am well on the way to some diy gear!

Same machine I use. It works well and I find it pretty simple to use.
