    Where oh where in Arizona?

Where can I hammock camp in Arizona? I have gone camping up on the rim but this time of year it is still covered in snow im sure, and is just to long of a drive for me (I live in Phoenix). Any ideas on where to go would be appreciated.

Superstitions are nearby. Anywhere on the rim will work too. Anyplace near a river in the desert will have trees, so that's a good start in the winter as well. Where do you usually tent camp? If there are trees there, hammocking works there too.

The Mazatzal Mtns are close to you up in Scottsdale. Probably an hour away.

Looked into that a little and there doesn't seem to be many trees around that area from what I can tell.

This site has all you need to know. You can narrow things down by "in season" and difficulty, even if you want water nearby. Then take a look at the photosets from people who've gone there to see if it's hangable. The descriptions and triplogs are great info.
