    Figure 9*Carabiner

I currently use the carabiner and rings to hang my Hennessy Hammock. Looking to try the figure 9 carabiner. Has anybody else tried these? Wondering if the teeth are to rough for the stock rope. Worried about tearing up the rope.

Next question. Working load limit is 150lbs. If I have one on each side does thus make it a 300lbs load?

Right on, listen to this advice. However, if you don't, please make sure you take some video of any... how would one say this... surprises.

They will break and you will fall. You need somethin in the 1000lb rating range.

Yeah, I don't think its a good idea either. Damage from the teeth aside I would be nervous with that load limit.

They would work for about 1 second. Then they would not work. Cuz they'd be broke. Do some research on here first please.

That's just asking for trouble. I'd recommend whoopies and toggles. They would be just as easy.
    It'll be alright Friday!

A friend of mine stripped his Hennessy stock suspension rope by hanging from the figure 9 biner. The teeth cut right through the casing and stripped it just like wire strippers strip wire. I will reiterate what the others have said and recommend against using them for your suspension.

Just to add, when the suspension angle is at 30 degrees the suspension on each side is supporting the weight in the hammock. If you are 200 pounds, then each end is supporting 200 lbs. Each figure 9 would be carrying more than their weight rating.
