Has anyone ever used a wal mart yoga mat for an under pad?

That's exactly what I use. It is much more flexible and soft than a normal ccf pad.

And heavy. I was going to try one, until I picked it up. But it did seem softer.

Weight doesn't bother me much. I usually camp from a canoe or atv.

I picked one up to use as a kneeling pad in my canoe trek a couple of years ago. It worked great for that.

Then I decided to try it in my hammock one night. Spent quit a bit of time trying to get it to lay flat and positioned appropriately. Ended up throwing it out without ever really laying on it.

Any more thoughts on these? I plan on snatching the wife's yoga mat to use in the hammock this weekend. Does it work better than blue foam mat, about the same, or not as well? How about in addition to a sun reflector? Just trying to figure out what I need to pick up at the store today/tomorrow for my overnighter.
