    Alone time in the Deam

Last week had the opportunity to take off a couple days. Decided to head for the "office" and clear the head. Loaded up my pack, and headed for the SOuthern Nebo ridge trail head. about 4 pm Thursday, I was about a mile into the woods, cloudy, windy, and spitting rain. set up camp on a nice hill side over looking the East, wind was above, but could still feel it from time to time.

Friday morning found me warm and toasty ( 32 degrees ) in my hammock. Breakfast was tea, oats, and some granola. Hiked the trail for an additional 3-4 miles, and it started to rain....hard.....Set up camp, hung the tarp in a "A" frame style and hunkered in for the day. Rain stopped just before dark. Dinner was Cajin shrimp with rice. gotta love mountain house meals. brought my e-book with me and that was my entertainment for the day. That night I heard cyotes rain, and a couple of dogs barking way off in a distance. Saturday, sunny and wonderful.
HIked back to the trail head, loaded up, and headed home. What a great time to sit, relax, munch, read, and just be one with nature....

    Life is Good..

So nice to unplug from work, wife, kids etc. for a day or so.
When life get's tough, I envision myself in a hammock with a slight breese going by... Ahhhh. works every time.

I love it when I hike and it rains at night, then beautiful the next day. That are my favorite trips. Thanks for taking me there for a minute!

I love these reports from my old stomping grounds. I wish I could get back more often...

From time to time, a nice "mental relaxation" day from work is the perfect thing to do.

STinGa (agreeing with Law Dawg (ret) ... gotta have the pics)
