I particularly liked the shockcord selection. I bought 20 feet and wish I had got about 100. Good quality shockcord too.

I just called the West Marine down in Pittsburgh and he quoted me $0.28/ft, though he has to order it in which will take about a week. By the time you figure in shipping costs, that's not half bad!
If - if he stood! Enough of ifs!
He knew a path that wanted walking
He knew a spring that wanted drinking
A thought that wanted further thinking.
A love that wanted re-renewing

Thanks for the heads up, man! I hate waiting for rope to get shipped!!
Taylo,
Went there today and bought some 7/64" silver amsteel. He didn't know what I was talking about when I asked about zing it or lash it. I couldn't find it in the store nor could I find a spot on a shelf where there was a tag for it. But I told him that if they could keep it in stock, I'd come buy it!
Oh, and the amsteel was only 28 cents. Did we go into the same store? The West Marine Express at the marina?
sounds like youre the lucky one....the smallest size the local west marins stores sell is 1/8th "- i belive that is rated at 1900lbs. i have worked on huge army floating cranes, and in the rope/sling locker there's huge size slings with amsteel cores- with tubeleyer webbing for protection
Yea maybe I misquoted that price. Anyways, I got the last roll of Zing it. Maybe they'll get some more in.
I want a pole barn full of cord...just saying
