No channel, some kind of knot. roomy and comfortable, plenty of length. I think the 11 ft is before the knots are tied, so less than 11 between the knots. But I have not measured yet- but someone here did.

Oh BTW Stevebo- are you still using a PeaPod? I put the PeaPod on the WL L.Owl, and it will work but is not optimum, considering this hammock is both wider and ~ a foot longer than the already long(for a PeaPod) Claytor.

I always found the pod to work great with the 10 ft long but narrow Claytor. But even that length is a little much for the 9 ft long PeaPod. For me perfection with the PeaPod is when the pod can be cinched closed as close to the hammock knot as possible- or even over it like with a shorter hammock like Claytor Expedition. Bit I guess the narrow width of the Claytor No Net over comes the length issues. But the Light Owl really pushes all of that.

How long is your pod? Is it one of the newer ones? I just bought an older sewn through version and it's 124 inches long.
I'm planning to put shock cord tied together in a loop in place of the cinch cords to compensate for the extra length of my hammock and still use barrel locks on it to cinch it up. And hook the shock cord on the same beaners of my UQ where they're hooked to the end of the hammock gathered end knot. Then just cinch the pod ends up down from the gathered end on the hammock. Do you think that would work?
