No hike hammock build

I planned for an overnighter in Pisgah but the weather dissuaded me, so if I wasn't going to hang in a hammock I was going to make one.

Based partly off the Hennessy tutorial sticky and I just winged it for the bug net. I have been wanting a fully enclosed system and just needed a push to get to work on it. It has side zippered entry, the bug net is noseeum mesh, and the hammock is 1.1 from diy gear supply. I tied off the ends with some gutted paracord and the non-structural ridgeline is also gutted paracord.

Fits nicely under my diy hex tarp.



I am going to shorten the height of the bug net a bit and may still add tieouts on the side, I just never use them on another one I made so I am not fully sold.

Thanks guys! The tarp was a fun project, I keep thinking I want to sell it to make a little larger version but then I hang this and it looks good to go. I need to get to work on my new UQ so I will feel better about my gear.

Half my pack for this weekend was sleeping bags and that is unacceptable.
