Video: Fronkey Inspired Bugnet for Grand Trunk UL Hammock

I made a separate Fronkey Inspired bug net for my GTUL. The Grand Trunk UL acts a bit differently with this design, at least with my hammock RL length.

I added a few mods to make things a bit more roomy inside.

I like that, I think I will use the pullouts when I make one for my ENO. I like the idea of asym as well.

    I like it!

My only concern is does the entrance in the bottom still seal up as well as the original design?

Yes it does. You can cinch it down all the way just the same (it takes 2 hands though so I couldn't do it and shoot the video at the same time )

I was going to go with asym, but part of what I like about these types of hammocks is you don't have a head or foot end so you can just hop in. I would still be interested to see how asym pullouts would look though.

Wow I had no idea that did that with the Grand trunk. If anyone asks me about that I'm going to link them to your video. Thanks a bunch for pointing that out and great job on the mods.

Yeah, part of it, I think, is just the nature of the GTUL being 9.5 feet long. Subtract a couple inches for the "ball-type" whipping = 9 feet probably. That's a pretty short hammock.

The SRL hangs substantially closer to the hammock as compared to other hammocks (at least my length SRL).

This was a good workaround for having the bug net not have to rely on the height of the SRL from the hammock.
