Yeah, the snow makes it a real winter. And mighty fine weather for a hang.

Constantly sipping warm/hot fluids from that tea lantern is an idea I'm putting in my brain and kit-all for the price of a little candle-very very smart.
No good you say! I should have mentioned that it's best on clear days But I've used the technique in snow or ice precipitating where most will fall off or get shaken off as the whole rig goes in the stuff sack or compactor bag-and yes that is the whole kit including tarp (hard precip shaken off.
The problem is of course when you go to bed and its clear and wake up in a down pour It happens, not often, but then plan B, which is separate my UQ and TQ while under the tarp and dry...then I take the tarp down at the same time as the hammock all in one bundle with the hammock inside the tarp....next night unfurl the tarp hammock combo...if its warm(ish) a lot of the moisture in the hammock will evaporate and there shouldn't be much anyway since it was balled up inside the tarp. Once though in packing I didn't keep the hammock perfectly dry when balling up in the tarp and set up anyway; my body heat dried the thin hammock nylon very quickly just like it will do with clothes or socks over night so was no big deal...your mileage may vary.
Thanks again for another oustanding walk with you in your world Blaze. I'll come back at ya in a week.
The tea lantern idea has gone to a hole new level. Now UCO makes a Candle Lantern 'Micro' that will store inside the Snowpeak 300 cup. I have it ordered and it is in the mail.
As for takedown of hammock and tarp, all roads leads to Rome and the method described by you can be tweaked to susses.
And thanks for watching and commenting MedicineMan.

After watching your videos, you have me rummaging around the garage to dig out my candle lantern!

I finally found this picture of my old J.Falk stove and some tea candles to keep the water warm/hot. Worked well though candles do add up and add weight.
I like yours with a smaller mug and just one candle in the lantern.......
