Whoopie Sling No Pull Through Mod

Didn't see this in Search, but it's a small, internal modification to the whoopie sling to keep it from pulling through.
Inserted a 1.5 inch length of 7/64 amsteel into the loop where it exits the line and pulled it through, then trimmed off the excess. Small bulge is barely visible.

It takes a lot of force to pull it through:

Good idea....so good that several of us have been doing it for years.

I do this to every whoopie sling I make. The nice thing about it is you can add it to existing whoopie slings after the bead has broken off.

Better than a bead, which I have read reports of them breaking.

I didn't really think this was an original idea. Too easy, makes too much sense and I just bought a Dritz loop turner to feed a splicing addiction.

Nice! After breaking a few beads in the cold, this is what I will be doing from now on to my whoopies, SRLs, et. al.

Whoopie Sling No Pull Through Mod

I've been doing it for about 3 months now. I think I heard dehoja (aka Derek 'Dangerous' Hansen) or the guy from YouTube making whoppies out of dynaglide mention it on one of his vids. He mentioned it but SeñorMomento was the first to post it me thinks. Your ones look better than mine do too. I think mine looks more like 3/4" too much tapered 1.5 it is. I also have a one side locked brummel on the adjustable end too works a treat but it ain't pretty.
