    Winter setup rethink.

I have been thinking about ta setup for wither use for mya hennessy. that is simple and relatively low cost.

So far i have a 20* leighlo FLUQ, a ranger blanket tobe made into a UQ, I have a 0*C or 32*F synthetic sleeping bag, and a -10 *C down sleeping bag, i have a GT Ul hammock i am using for a over cover. i am looking for a tarp to use for wither use. i can get a DD xl tarp from workwear canada for 99.99 and free shipping.

i would love to get a canvas wedge tent but that is a bit too much for me to afford right now.

I am not looking to use any kind of heater under the tarp. just going to rely on the two sleeping bags and twi under quilts and another ranger blacket if needed and the GT hammock overcover. and then the ddxl tarp over the ehole rig with ends closed off like doors. plus suplimenting with extra cloths if needed.

wieght is not too mucjh of a issue i have a pulk sled and mostly winter car camp.

    any thoughs on this setup?

That sounds more than adequate for most winter conditions. I saw a PU coated guide tarp (IIRC 9 x 12 or so) in my local MEC for $50.00. They don't offer them any more but there may be some stock in stores.

Cool idea of using the GT Ul hammock as a generic bear burrito oven!
