There is a really nice all you can eat BBQ place just down the road from the camp site. The hubby and I checked it out last year, and it was wonderful. They even had a band playing.

I believe you are talking about "Lone Star"

I might just have to come out and "Hang" with you all, I work in Santee, and live just 19 miles from the State Park.

REV i may be able to help you out if need anything.

Just wanted to update, I will be throwing in a BRAND NEW CRKT Natural 2 knife into the raffle!!!

Due to the generosity of CRKT and making a situation right, I have a spare Natural 2. It will be in the 2nd tier of prizes along with the other items previously mentioned, as well as some that will be forthcoming.

Remember that raffle tickets are $5/ea and $20/5, all proceeds go to the park as a donation from HammockForums.net

Do we know what loop the hang will be in? My husband isn't a convert and will most likely want to bring the pop-up, which will require a separate site. Would be nice if he could be close by. Might talk him into at least a tent.

its in the boyscout primitive area. theres running water and a bathroom, but not much else besides fire rings & picnic tables. i think if you look in last years thread i included a map of the park with where well be marked.

tents are welcome, as long as they come! (just ask MBcruzin, but i hear thats fixed this year!!!)
