    High Country Trail Gear UQ

    Good Evening All,

I'm a noob who has not 100% bought into hammock camping yet. I just picked up a new to me HH Asym at a great price. I set it up on my back deck and took a great nap in for several hours last weekend in 30 degree weather. I used a fleece blanket on my big Agnes sleeping pad. I used my 20 degree down bag as a top quilt and was nice and toasty. But I suffered from the frozen butt syndrome.

I just bought a 20 degree 3/4 High Country Trail Gear on Ebay for 80 bucks. Does anyone have any experience with them? As a recovering camping gear *****, I try not to skimp on gear and I try to buy the best gear I can afford so that I won't be buying replacements in a month or so.

Google search turned up this video:

Hopefully, someone here is familiar with them and I didn't waste money.

    Thanks!

It arrived last week. The loft of the quilt is huge!!!!

I tried rigging it up on my hammock but I found my shock cord strings I had laying around were too short. I went out to Wally World and bought some new rigging materials. I'll try it again tomorrow night and post some pics soon.

The guy only has 20 reviews on ebay but all are positive. $80 for a 20 degree quilt isn't bad

As Ernest Borgnine says in "The Wild Bunch,"
    Who are these guys?

of the bounty hunters chasing him and the over-the-hill group of campers he is affiliated with.

Curious, because they have sold a number of quilts. What hiking / backpacking / camping group are they connected with?

I don't know who they are but I did send the shipper an email when I received my "shipping confirmation". The email address was associated with a masonry co. in NC. I sent them a link to the forums and an invite also. If the quality of the uq is inline with the apparent quality of the stone work from the mason website everything should be great.
