    All you need to do is put a picture of Dutch there and the water will go back up the whoopie sling and the water will never come near you!

    cotton is rotten... and therefore wonderful for acting as a rain stop. this is the one piece of gear i have that contains even a trace of cotton.

    Like many have already mentioned (including the OP), I simply sling my whoopie ends back over themselves and it has worked fine thus far. If I were worried that wasn't enough I would tie a small length of paracord before the looped whoopie ends--I always seem to have a bit of that stuff floating around anyhow .
